People are like Eevees.  We’re all different.  We look different.  We grow up (or grew up) in different ways, with different things, and under different circumstances.  We have different likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, as well as goals and dreams.  But at the same time, in a sense, we’re all basically the same.

While Lin’s personality and beliefs are puzzling, let’s not forget that Toph is the one who started the metalbending police force. The real question is how the hell did Toph go from rebel to cop? I have yet to come up with a plausible theory for this one.
